New space ride at Epcot

When I was there 2 weeks ago they were building a new ride there called space. It's right next to the test track, and will open in 2002 or 2003 i forget. What is it about? It sounds cool. Oh and btw I HATE THE SPACE SHIP EARTH RIDE!!!!!

Supposedly, this ride will simulate lift off on the Space Shuttle Atlantis and after that simulate weightlessness. The only reason I know this is b/c I work for Compaq who is sponsering the ride...and oh yeah...this website!

I actually think that Space Ship Earth is a very well done dark ride. Yes it is slow, but the scenes are beautifully done thoughout the ride. Plus I love it when you turn and look at the Earth before you go back down to the bottom of the ride.

Im pretty sure Jacob is right. I remember seeing photos of the actual modules that would be spinning you around to produce G's. I thought the ride was going to be called Mission: Space.
