Artist showing ridable roller coaster as part of exhibition

Coasters aren’t just a hobby for EJ Hill. They’re a recurring motif in his performance art, photography, painting and sculpture. “Brake Run Helix,” his exhibition opening Oct. 30 at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass MoCA) for an 18-month run, has a coaster theme and a spectacular centerpiece: a working coaster inside the museum for visitors to ride.

Nice. This is also the same guy who built the Ferris wheel piece for New Orleans using a single gondola.
I’m glad there’s an artist for us, lol.

Very cool. This looks like the first T-rex looking thing in a museum that isn't a dinosaur.

But will this count as a new credit?

I'll wait for the official POV to say it sucks. :)

Has anything made by Skyline for themselves not sucked?

Dunno, have no experience with them. What have they made that sucked?

How dare you. Crazy Couch is a BRASS RING WINNER. I'd put it right up there with the Dragon Wagon as one of the most influential designs of our time.

I mean, I guess that's kind of what I'm trying to understand. Looks like they make kids' rides and have a couple small coasters. Has anyone sampled enough of their rides to know?

Or did I just miss the sarcasm?

I think they also made the failed crossover Larson Looper things that Six Flags went nuts for and then subsequently removed.

Skyline built Harley Quinn crazy coaster at SFDK which lasted a grand total of a year: https://rcdb.com/15674.htm

They also built the almost universally panned Tidal Twister at SWSD. https://rcdb.com/16772.htm

Huh. Didn't realize Harley Quinn only operated one year. And I thought the SeaWorld coaster was a pretty cool concept, but I admittedly didn't seek out reviews.

So I guess it might be fair to say Skyline...maybe...oh man, what's the word? Drawing a blank here...
