What we did have, however, was rain and sometimes plenty of it.
One of my very favorite theme park memories was a visit to Kings Dominion with my church youth group where it rained steadily the entire day. I think we may have gotten a couple rides in here and there, but most of the day was spent shooting each other with water guns we bought at the park and playing in the arcades. It was the 80s…wasn’t long after that they stopped selling water guns.

What we did have, however, was rain and sometimes plenty of it. Who I felt sorry for were the guests who had come some distance and got no rides whatsoever.
That was our last trip to Cedar Point, circa 2016 or 2017. Friday evening was beautiful allowing us to snag rides on Gatekeeper and Valravn. Saturday was terrible. Terrible winds, frigid temperatures, and a rain/snow mix. Woodstock Express and Jr. Gemini were the only coasters open. We checked out Dinosaurs Alive and some of the kiddie rides but there was nothing else to do. We left after a few hours. Sunday was more of the same. We drove back home after an hour. That's the only time I missed Disaster Transport.
