Bashing Coasters at small Parks!?

I hear a lot of people bashing great rides at small parks like SFKK. Some people hate Chang, but love Mantis. Some hate Twisted Sisters, but love all CCI's. What is with that?

I don't know. The only one that I bash at a 'small park' is the Dania Beach Hurricane. They charge $6.00 to ride a very disappointing ride. By the way, I love Change. A lot more than Mantis.

I think a lot of people that may do the bashing have access to many great parks each season, so they're used to parks that have the $$$ to build spectacular, one-of-a-kind rides. Smaller parks need to build up first, perhaps having to get coasters that may be clones, used, or older, less-refined designs. Not that they're bad, I love 'em all! But in some cases I can see where people are coming from.

I really havn't seen people bash many small coasters at small parks, or big coasters at small parks, or anything. Usually, I see people writing about how good they are, and that it's sad for how few people know about them.

What I mean is that SOME people love Mantis because its at a great park, and hate Chang because its in a low-rank park.

Chang and Manits are pretty much the smae thing except that Chang is a "mirroir" (sp, I can't spell) image of Manits.

I judge a coaster (or a park,for that matter)on it's individual merit. Just because the park is small doesn't automatically mean that it's attractions are sub-par. Look at Holiday World, for an example. It's a small park,but it has two very classy coasters and a nice family atmosphere.

Its called opinion. Some people like one ride, and not another. I really don't see what this has to do whether they're in small parks or not.

well like i bash the raven but thats casue i honestly think it sucks, not cause holiday world is a small park.

Most of what you typed was true. Mantis and Chang's layouts are very similar. Except for a few things. Everything on Chang from the lift hill to the first corkscrew is a slightly bigger mirror version of Mantis'. Their second halves (after first corkscrew), however, are completely different.

Some people just like to bash. Personally I find SFKK's coasters pretty average. I could name numerous coasters worse than any of them, but I won't. Several of my personal favorite coasters are at small parks. IE. Phoenix, Raven, and Legend.

The first half of chang is every bit as good as mantis. The second half sucks though. Riding in my 80 year old grandma's crown vic is more exciting. That's the problem. The endings are completely different. Mantis is fast and furious, and chang just kinda strolls around and wanders. I don't know about you, but the ending is the make or break part of any coaster. IMO of course.

I apoligize to all of you who like "Castles And Coasters" in Phoenix, AZ. But I cannot stand that park. Especialy Desert storm and the patriot. If i dont have the time to visit a high budget park. I might visit the LOW-$$$$$(cash) park. But it just plain sucks! I mean, its alot better than staying home but, i wouldnt spend my $20.00 just to go there!
