Six Flags Over Texas opened this week, after Gov. Greg Abbott lifted capacity restrictions and the statewide mask mandate. The park said it will be sticking to the same safety protocols that were in place before, including a mask requirement.

I had brief "colds" or whatever mild sickness at the same rate this past year as any other year. The past several years that frequency went down considerably and I had been attributing that to just having reached a point that I had been exposed to so much in the classroom over the years that there was probably a lot of stuff I had become immune to but after reading up a bit and thinking about it I realized it may actually coincide with me finding out I was vitamin D deficient and beginning to heavily supplement. Since my D levels have stayed where they belong I haven't been getting sick as often.
Living here In DFW Texas I can tell you it is not a mess... y’all in Austin keep it weird and messy for sure. sounds like other folks are pretty opinionated too. It is called freedom. And I hope you come down and enjoy this freedom on the Texas Giant and or the Iron Rattler. I’ve been to SFOT dozens of times this past year and everything has been fine. Recently it has been crowded (they quit taking reservations last weekend and they told me they had over 20,000 inside) but it is still a blast. Part of the freedom is personal responsibility which we also believe in here.
(Haha maybe so!) That’s the joy and purpose of the US- each state gets to decide what is best for itself on non-constitutional issues and the rest of us get to judge them on how dumb they are (that is me acknowledging it works both ways!) It is funny how self-assured and confident is looked at by those that aren’t that as a bad thing. As I stand in line now for the Texas Giant I am grateful to live here. But whatever you think most Texans including myself will welcome you with open arms... and take you to whataburger where you don’t just have to be in-n-out.
I will say that Texans are the most hospitable and friendly people I've encountered in the states. I do miss that in CA and NY where, if you say "hi" to someone walking down the street you get a dirty or at least confused look. The politics, guns, false piety, and "Don't tell me what to do" attitdue I could do without.
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
Every state has their own brand of repugnant politics to outsiders... conservatives and liberals are both prone to hipocrisy and the ‘don’t tell we what to do’ attitude built the USA- for better or for worse. To get this back on topic... darn the seat belt that just malfunctioned and is keeping us waiting next in line for 20 minutes for the Giant! Crowds are strong again here at SFOT. ApolloAndy, when you get a chance to make it there, ride the X2 for me... my wife and i were supposed to relive our honeymoon from 15 years ago last week BUT.... Cali is still closed for business.
You hate freedom, obvs. But not poor people.

Texans can be almost as annoying as Vegans and Crossfitters.
Let's not be unreasonable now. They might be worse.

You need to spend more time in the Midwest.
Oh and tell your folks I says hi.

Coaster talk is definitely frowned upon. It could result in jealousy over track records.
