Chopper flying over SFOG near Viper!

Has anyone heard about this. I heard it happened yesterday (Thursday). It hovered over the Southern Star Amphitheater for about a minute. I'm assuming it was taking aerial photos of the area. I hope that is what they were doing and I hope this means something.

It could be for planning and taking pics of the land to see what could be put over in the area.

It could have been a news helicopter recording footage for the news or something like that that...

I've read that it was red and white, and showed no indication of channel 2, 5, 11, or any other Atlanta news program. And why would news people be over there anyway, there is nothing over there that could interest them. And the helicopter was as low as the top Viper's spike, so it had to have been for photos.

Well, seeing as how Viper's coming out, I'd say it has something to do with next year, and the 2002 plans. Sounds like more proof of 2002 plans to me.

I see flying helicopters over theme parks all the time... Doesn't mean a thing. It could be news media taking footage of a nearby highway for traffic or a number of items.

Forget my earlier post. I was told by my friend from the park that it has nothing to do with plans for 2002. It is though, something I've been waiting to see for years. Its for the Discovery Channel, and other TV stations. Us SFOG "enthusiast" have wanted to see our park on one of those coaster specials for a while. So far we haven't gotten much coverage. Acrophobia changed that though. Look out for SFOG on a new coaster special sooner or later. Does anyone know if there is another coaster special coming out this year on Discovery or Travel Channel that will be new? Maybe even on TLC.

SFoG just got Deja Vu, so I don't see why SFoG might get another ride for next season. I think if SFoG is getting a new ride, it should go to SFEG because "they" haven't got a ride since 1999 (Boomerang).

Sorry SFEG, I feel sorry for them. But we're not giving up a SROS. They better get someone elses, or ask Six Flags Inc for that B&M speedcoaster that they asked for last year.

Yes, I remember. It was only five seconds though. How about a two or three minute segment on the whole park. I think we'll see that in one of the coaster shows in the future because the helicopter was filming the whole park. Or at least an interview with our GM, Mr. Odum, talking about the park.

Parks that make the profits to get a new coaster will get one(SFoG). Parks that don't bring in a good profit get nothin(SFEG). Don't want SFoG's ride we deserve a new hyper.

OK, Mindbender, what's this about Viper coming out, you were sticking to this whole Time-Warner theory about it, what gives?

And as for "channels" doing shows, Discovery Networks and BBC are usually responsible for producing thier product, which turns up on any of the Discovery Networks. No telling, it could even be a new production, something more sane than some of the bouncing programs.

I don't know yet. I don't have alot of info at this time, but if SFOG goes ahead with their plans, Viper is gone in 2002. We'll see soon, as this is supposedly Viper's last month of operation. It will close down early this season. Viper would cost the park a 6 million dollar expense if it was removed. I asked my source about this but he wouldn't give me the explanation. Oh well, maybe they sold Viper to another park. I guess time will tell.

I wish they would show a clip about PKI. I havent seen one recently. The last one had SOB parts in it, but it was only the POV movie (from a computer). PKI needs more coverage. Bet they will get it with TR:TR
