Disney Golf officials say the small robotic golf cart uses GPS and Bluetooth technology to transport your clubs safely around the golf course.

Looks like Disney likes lazy rich people!

I am not a golfer but that looks pretty cool.

*Slightly lazy people. I'm not interested unless there's one with a seat so I don't have to walk the whole course.

Good point. I guess there is a slider for laziness.

I, for one, welcome our new robotic golf cart overlords.

Seems like a lot of clipping and unclipping to your belt might be required. I could easily see myself driving the thing right onto a green or getting it stuck in a bunker. I wonder if the GPS is smart enough to account for that. Looks fun.

I'm not a regular golfer; I might golf 2-3 times a year at most. But while this is a pretty cool concept, what wrong with a regular golf cart? Are some of the WDW golf courses walking only?

At least with a golf cart you aren't walking the entire course and it speeds up play as well.

I thought walking was the point of golf. No?

As some say, golf is a good way to ruin a nice walk.

Prior to graduating college, I only golfed walking the course carrying my own clubs. Post college golf seems to most often involve carts and if you walk the course its pretty much always with caddies so you don't carry your own clubs.

More than likely yes, or a wire is placed around sand traps, water, etc. that the cart won't pass over once it senses it.

Golfing without a cart gives you nowhere to set your drink.

I used to golf with my dad quite a bit. The cart was a luxury. Now it seems like carts are the default at every public course I've been to. If you're walking you're going to be letting a lot of people play through.
