Does anyone think that park prices are getting too

High prices

yes I think so. at sf great adventure the prices are about 46$ a little to much for my taste, and the food cost to much also.

well, for six flags parks, if you plan on going more than once, buy a season pass! with a coupon from Burger King, you can buy a season pass for $49.99..I used it to buy my pass at SFMM, and ive already been 3 times this summer...its definitely worth the value! a regular day pass @ MM is $42.99..

It surprised me that a regular day pass for SFMM was the same for an all day pass at SFMW. When SFMM is bigger and has more rides...

SFEG is at like $34.00 dollars now. It's a rip off because the park has nothing of value, such as roller coasters. The rides are terrible and you have to pay a "boat load" of money just to get in.

It's $43 to get into Universal Studios and Passes cost $48, I believe!

I bought a season pass to six flags new england. I basically go every other week.

I agree that daily prices seem high so, season passes are the only way to go. We live in the Chicago area and bought season passes for Six Flags, Cedar Fair and Paramount. We've already gotten more then our monies worth from the Six Flags passes and we've made two trips to PKI already which has paid for those passes. Now we just need to get to CP.

One day prices seem high, but when you consider how much it cost to operate a park, employees, maintenance-replacement parts, landscaping, power, plus the intitial investment of new attractions, it makes sense.

Season pass is the only way to go. Usually pays for itself in 2 or 3 visits, and if you love going, your visits will end up being like $10 each.

How do you think they pay for those million-dollar attractions that sit at your homepark? With your money of course.

That doesn't mean you need to raise prices. SFGAm lowered thiers by a dollar, and they have 2 new rides, even though one probably won't open this season. They are relying on larger crowds, which will bring in more money, even at a lower price per admission.

Compared to the other forms of entertainment I participate in, amusement park prices are not high. A trip to the movies will cost you $7.50 for 2 ½ hours of entertainment. 18 holes of golf cost between $30 and $50 dollars (at a cheap course) for 5 hours of playing time. And you cannot buy a season pass to a golf course or the movies.

The ticket prices don't bother me, I get a season pass. As for food and parking, they are getting downright outrageous. I guess they'll learn sooner or later when people stop buying the food and start parking other places.

Another thing, I went to Indiana Beach yesterday and was going to get a can of pop in a machine...only to find out that it was a fricking dollar! I would never spend a dollar for a can of pop...

I don't think prices are that bad. Concerts average around $45, ones I go to are much more than that. Movies are outrageous, sporting activities are usually free (yes, even golf, only free course in the world!), but I'd much rather spend a day at a park than a few hours golfing. All in all for what you get, the prices are usually pretty darn good.
