The CoasterBuzz Difference

Just thought I'd get this off my chest...

Recently I started going to the ThrillRide! forums, just to see what they were like, and if there is anything special about them. Now, I am not going to put down those forums, because there IS some good discussion that does go on there. However, Jeff is completely correct when he says that what makes CoasterBuzz stand above the rest is the moderation. What I noticed over there is that there are so many moderators, and so many of them make just as much noise as the rest of the crowd, and frankly, I don't see any REAL moderation. So, even though I have always thought it would be cool to be a moderator here, I now completely understand why CoasterBuzz does not add members to their staff. Keep up the good work CoasterBuzz.

P.S. I understand you may close this because it is in a way, as much as I tried to avoid it, putting down another site.

I know how the ThrillRide moderator's inside workings are. I used to be one, but resigned. It operates just like the US government, or should I say not operate at all just like the US government? I can't agree with you more, the less moderators, the better. And the less forums the better. Why would a coaster site need a general talk forum?

Furthermore, it seems to be alot like the Six Flags World of Adventure stories I hear, where people say things like, this wouldn't happen as Cedar Point. I find myself saying, this wouldn't happen at CoasterBuzz.:)

I also want to emphasise that I have nothing against the ThrillRide! site in general. In fact, it's a great site. The ride reviews are some of the best out there, and it's always fun to read the Wild Rumors/Random Notes updates.

While I understand your points, I'd still rather not go there as a professional courtesy. I don't like it when people rag on CoasterBuzz on other forums, so I kind of reciprocate that feeling.
