Someone stole a white pickup with a portable kiddie coaster trailer from Union County Fairgrounds in Marysville, OH.

To be fair, it's just the trailer and coaster that were stolen. I get the impression the white truck backed in, hooked up, and drove off.

It's a Go-Gator. I didn't realize that. Anyone have a Dragon Wagon up for trade?

The Go-Gator is the Hunts Ketchup of the traveling fair coaster circuit.

Apparently portable kiddie coasters must have rhyming or alliterative names including animals, real or fantastic.

The enthusiast in me just keeps thinking this is such a waste. For what this guy is going to pay in legal bills when he is caught, he could have bought Speed: The Ride free and clear.

I can't find it now, but I remember at the time I saw it the leading bid was only $3000-$4000 dollars. Cheaper, legal, and a much better coaster. B-)

I would hazard a guess unless the guy is from the "here, hold me beer" school of thievery that he already had a customer, and this thing is probably in Mexico by now.

Apparently the ride has been recovered, haven't heard if they have apprehended the thief
