Universal Orlando bans guests for Nazi salute made in on-ride photo

A group of riders on Universal Studios "Revenge of the Mummy" attraction made racist hand gestures in a photo taken during the ride, according to a post on Universal Orlando Resorts annual passholders' Facebook page. The resort said the group will be banned from the parks.

These are pretty weird times when someone would associate with the most vile people in human history, but to do so openly is extra sad. I hate that these morons aren't being marginalized into the dark corners of society where they belong.

And then to post it to the Passholder’s Facebook page? Wtf? Morons.

Frightening morons.

Probably the most regrettable thing the Internet has allowed: the dark-corner dwellers have found other dark-corner dwellers.

I find it satisfying when a$$hats get attention but not the attention they were expecting.

The parks response seems a little over reactive.

Please remove all hats and glasses before the ride begins. (Points at white supremacist kids...) That includes MAGA hats as well.

Until recently, I might have agreed with you but I think the white supremacist movement is getting to the point where it’s actually a physical threat to the safety of the country, ala any other terrorist organization. I mean if someone held up some ISIS or Al qaeda symbolism in a ride photo, you better believe they’re getting banned.

Exactly this. I don't understand why we keep giving a pass to people whose intent is equally as harmful and vile just because they're "American" and/or white.

Because we might have to admit that America has a problem with race.

And I believe there’s no such thing when it comes to that kind of crap. Nobody, especially a family-oriented entertainment company, would leave the public with the notion that they condone such behavior. And from a strictly business standpoint I’m sure they realize that it’s better to lose four customers than a whole lot more.

I find the park's response adequate. But I'm also doubting that these people are actually white supremacists. There's probably a few thousand in the entire country, and the media is blowing it up to make it seem like every Trump supporter is goose stepping (the presidential candidates are helping with that too).

Politics aside, my guess is that these are a bunch of very stupid teenagers thinking what they were doing would be funny and outrageous, including posting it to the facebook group. We can't know though because this news website thinks its readers can't handle a photo of four people holding their right arms up in the air....

[edit: I wrote "duck walking" at first haha, meant goose stepping obvi]

They may have been "very stupid teenagers", but I'd say they've (hopefully) learned a valuable lesson.

The park reacted appropriately.

When you say "America" , what percentage would you say has a race problem?

All of it. Contrary to the political narrative, you either live here or you don't. You don't have to be a racist for it to be your problem.
