SeaWorld ditches VR on Kraken roller coaster

SeaWorld phased out Kraken’s VR headsets this summer because of poor guest reviews and to keep the wait times shorter during the busier days, spokeswoman Lori Cherry said.

I am no fan of VR on coasters, but what struck me about this implementation was that it was cleverly attached to the ride. I would have thought that would have been easier to execute than strapping a cell phone to everyone's head and calibrating it every time, ala Six Flags.

It really needed to go.

To being an "us" for once - instead of a "them".
