Odd research suggests roller coasters can dislodge kidney stones

Riding on some types of roller-coaster is an effective way of removing kidney stones. This is the conclusion of research that has won this year's Ig Nobel Prize [a spoof award] for Medicine. The US researchers who carried out the work recommend that those afflicted with the condition should regularly use the theme park attractions.

LOL I had this happen on magnum. Ended up in the hospital in Columbus. It was the first one I had and I was in so much pain.

Never had a kidney stone but Big Dipper at Geauga Lake fixed my back once.

Research using roller coasters is just silly.

Having experienced this excruciating pain twice now I'm pretty sure I'd let a roller coaster run me over if I thought it could dislodge the kidney stone.
