Roller coaster models

Hey everybody. I was just wondering if anybody knew about other companoes besides Coaster Dynamix that made roller coaster models. I want to get one for my desk at work.

The noted German model railroad manufacturer Faller offers some HO scale kits over the years. This is their current offering. They have had other style rides in the past, that are not in production but may still be available through dealers or the secondary market.

^I was a little disappointed with that one after I put it together. Sure it's super neat, but it's definitely intended more for play than it is for display. Chain lift on it is really sketchy as well.

People keep complaining about the chain because they're not counting the links from the instructions. It ships with extra links, which, if you use them, makes too much slack.

Now you're just insulting my intelligence. It took me at least five minutes to count out the exact number of links that the chain contains. "Too much slack" is not the issue, the issue is that the chain interacts poorly with the gears at the bottom of the lift.

If you were referring to my link, it was a link to the Coasterbuzz thread "Lego announces roller coaster set" from a few months ago.

I'm not insulting anyone's intelligence. There are threads on the Internet explaining this phenomenon. I don't know what you did.

Mine works flawlessly, so perhaps there is some troubleshooting you need to engage in before getting insulted.

If I may ask...once complete, would the Lego Roller Coaster Model be easy to transport in a box (In whole or in sections)? I'm not talking about a New York to California drive...but about half a mile.

If you have a SUV or minivan, maybe. Or a hatchback where the rear seats can fold flat. Not sure about fitting through the rear doors of a sedan and placing on the back seat. It's pretty big.

It's assembled in 2 halves, which you join together near the end, but I think it would take some work to un-join the halves for transport.
