Double Dip

Does anyone have any information about Kennywood's 2019 project? Is it a coaster?

Dippin Dots cart. Its the ice cream of the future and, at Kennywood, the future is now!

Just a little something to fan the rumor mill.

There's good conversation about this over at kpconnection. So far the locals have found footer markings near the shooting gallery and racer that match those that were in the lagoon. Also, they have mentioned some work being done near the ravine. All signs pointing to something big. Possibly an Intamin multi launch LSM.

"Possibly?" Word of advice after your first post... the presence of footers only means something will be put on top of them.

Party deck for the BBQ place which, by the way, is amazing.

Whatever it is for, it's in need of serious support. Perhaps it is just some kind of extension over the water to extend the BBQ and beer garden while adding a new entrance to the sky swing.

Based on the look of the round metal cages, they could just be planting tomato plants.

(Possibly for the BBQ place?)

Sure, since they will be refilling the pond those cages could be for hydroponics. Lol

Lots of movement on former Log Jammer site this week. Can't tell if this is more cleanup of the site or if they are shaping the terrain.

More survey markers showing up around the park. Assuming that they are all part of the 2019 project. If so, this could be a big layout. If they also use the ravine it will easily become the longest coaster at the park.

You're probably right. There's no way that survey markers could be used for the construction of anything else.

Aquatrax. It's going to splash down in the Monongahela.

Will interesting to see if it is actually Intamin someone else. Guess we will know once track starts arriving unless they announce it first.

The new markers and footers are extending beyond the lagoon and around the merry-go-round. They could all be unrelated but where's the fun in that?

Work is progressing in various parts of the park. The ravine work is expected to begin once Thomas Town is complete. So likely July. Won't be the same ravine layout as what was leaked last year. Footer work is expected to ramp up around then as well.
