Who Wants To Design Coasters??

I know when I get to college I'll be majoring in engineering. I'll intern at a roller coaster company and help design coasters. Get a job with them for a few years. Then go off and make my own company designing new and innovative coasters like B&M did. It'll be based in Atlanta. My company would be called AROD Coasters, ARCC, or Ludacris Coasters Inc. I couldn't think of anything else to name but I'll come up with something new in a few years.

I would design wood coasters only. id make hyper woodies and regulars that were not rough [may take ALOT of time]. they would be record breaking steep and record breaking fast for a woodie with no trims what so ever. could be done. WOOD COASTERS SHALL CONQUER!!!

I want to also, the only problem is only 20 coasters are built per year in the whole world, and how many designers? Also what if this really is the 2nd golden age, could it suddenly end? If Mackey has his way then what? It will be hard especially with so many enthusiasts wanting to do this, but it sorta sounds like, "I'm going to be an astronaut!" thing. I just think it's too risky, but if trends follow the boom shouldn't be over for a while.

Thats why I love my computer . RTC , 3d Coaster designer..many more great pieces of software to play around with..It may not be real but its the closest thing I'll ever get to designing a park.

Most of the designing firms out there today have come from one family or one company. It's VERY hard to get into the business. I agree that I would love to do it, but I'm not going to put all of my eggs in one basket. A lot of people on here will probably change their minds, people's ideas often change. I'm not saying any of you will change your mind, just that there's a great probability you will. I don't know, I may even change my mind, but I'm not counting on it:). I wish everyone on here great luck in finding a career in coaster design.
