Cedar Point teasing Mean Streak makeover

Cedar Point is teasing us with yet another glimpse of changes coming to the wooden roller coaster formerly known as Mean Streak. A newly released 18-second aerial video gives a flyover view of the red coaster track that sits atop its wooden structure.

I have heard some say that this will be either racing or dueling. Anyone think or heard the same?

I thought it was myself. I think people see the video with similar track going in opposite directions and thought racing or dueling. I really haven't kept up like I have wanted to.

Everyone does seem to be saying that, but sadly, everyone is wrong.

So far the ride is following a similar path to the original, albeit much more extreme. Previously, after the loop around the lift, the paths were at different heights. Now, they are about the same.

I am liking that it appears the drop is looking to be a 90 degree angle.

The "layouts" screamscape had posted for about 10 minutes showed a ride similar to full throttle in the infield.
Looked like the old tital wave at sfgam.
The name in the left hand corner said "cinataur" with a 185 height.

Ahh, I'm going to have to go ahead and ask you to come in on Sunday, too...

Now I can't stop thinking about a 185' Cinnabun.

Someone in a FB group used the photo with the vertical drop supports and the lift track already in place to do simple geometry and determine a height roughly 220 - 230 feet. Certainly not conclusive, but believable.

They should keep one of the old cars and do something similar to HalloWeekends but more elaborate and permanent in the infield of the new ride. Have the train rise out of the ground, name it ZombieStreak. Etc.

How about a raised shed (Saloon, to fit Frontiertown?) with a droptrack?
