Harrumph. I've been taken in by an April Fool's joke that wasn't on 1st April.

Edit: I took another look at the article. The bit about it being an Aprils Fools joke was buried under far more construction photos than I care to look at, so I bailed early on.

April Fools Day used to be fun. Since the invent of social media, it's about as entertaining as crotch itch.

I'm not even sure it used to be fun. It has always struck me as an excuse to make super lame non-creative pranks and then expect people to be amused by them "because April fools."

Agreed. I was never big on April Fools jokes to begin with. I don't ask much, but I do ask that Darth Daver, who posted that article, learn how to read a calendar.

Or maybe I should follow his example? In that case, today is 29th June, my birthday: please send presents my way.

Aprils Fools Day is pretty much an every day thing at this point. You have large numbers of people willing to believe just about anything that is consistent with their world view. Often its political. But many times its a business, a celebrity or some other person/entity. Social media then spreads it to the masses.

What a hoot!

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
