Woman uses 22-year-old park hopper pass at Magic Kingdom

Many years ago a friend, who was a Disney cast member, presented me with a ticket as a gift. She said it would let me into any Disney park in the world for one day and it would never expire. I liked it especially for its look, as the artwork on it was great. I hung onto it for years thinking I would use it whenever I finally got to Disneyland. That day eventually came and I was a little nervous about it as I walked to the gate, wondering if it was really going to let me in. I gave it to the woman at the turn style and ding! in I went.

Later I kicked myself for not thinking to make a good, enlarged copy of it before I left for California. My cute little ticket, that would have been suitable for framing, was gone.
Dammit.

I am sure Bernie Sanders would note this feel good story made it to ABCNews. His criticism of Disneyland did not.

His criticism of Disneyland was bizarre and he's pretty much irrelevant except for when he's criticizing Hillary. But this is a cute story that's perfect for a news hour otherwise spent discussing new leaders of the Taliban, riots in New Mexico, some mass shooting in some state, and some random little girl who got kidnapped somewhere yesterday.

Cute story, hardly news.

At my park we receive way old tickets from eons ago a handful of times each season. For the most part, as long as the ticket looks legit, we will accept it.

Sure are a lot of amateur news directors here.

I think "Hardly News" would describe most news posts here. ;)

Disney did away with those around 1980/81 I think.....I'm just wondering how she got a ticket almost as old as she is.

I still have a couple of 'E' tickets actually. They're from my in laws. I can't imagine having been at the park and not used them all. We tried to see if we could use them as fastpasses or anything on a recent visit but they basically said they're only usable as souvenirs now.

When I was at the Disney Archives last month they had the first ticket to Disneyland labeled "000001". I wonder if they would accept that as admission to the park if you showed up with it, provided you could make it out of the archives with the ticket :)
