Former SeaWorld employee busted for allegedly skimming $100,000 in cash

A 30-year veteran former SeaWorld employee was arrested, accused of stealing more than $100,000 in cash from her former employer. Lisa Olivardia was a supervisor in guest relations and SeaWorld's Aquatica Waterpark. Over a period of at least three years, sheriff's investigators said she voided all or part of group ticket sales then kept the money.

I've never, ever understood how someone can put their mitts in the company till and not know that they'll eventually get caught.

I think you hit the nail on the head. It's the same reasoning that goes into, "This time I'll win the jackpot" or "This time I will just have one drink" or "This time he won't hit me." Denial is a very powerful and very destructive force.
