How did the name SOB come about?

Did the Beast had an affair with the Racer or what? :)
Seriously, anyone know why PKI named it the Son of Beast?

PKI named SOB i assume because they thought that from a marketing stand point that that would be the best name. Isn't that how all parks do it?

The Beast broke all the records, now Son of Beast broke almost all of the records.

If you cant figure that one out you got some problems, and a hint (there was no mating.)

I'm sure that marketing is a great factor - after all, how many coaster enthusiasts (even mild ones) *don't* know the name Beast? It creates a lot of publicity.

I was at PKI in 99 with a good friend, and they were takaing a survy close to the bathrools by the old time cars. A young ladyt with a clip board asked us the name we liked best for a coaster, and SOB was on the list. I do not remember the handful of other choices, but me, nor my friend picked SOB.

My freind was also surveyed, he choose another name which I now forget but he didn't pick Son of Beast....Now that I think of it no one did. LOL

I don`t think that the survey could have been in `99 at the park, unless it was in April, as the park anounced Son of Beast the second week in May.
