I think koolcat meant that CP was the first to 200, 300, and 400, but not 500 feet.

Technically, Moonsault Scramble was the first to 200, Tower of Terror the first to 300, and Superman - The Escape was the first to 400...

Building a ride over 500 feet? It's disrespectful to Cedar Point.

Fine sirloindude, Cedar Point built the first full-circuit coasters to reach 200, 300, and 400 feet. ;-) I had heard of Moonsault Scramble before, but I had to look it up on RCDB to find out what it was like. I read it reportedly pulled 6.2 g's. Is that true?

I've searched and searched and cannot find any type of *real* construction photos of this tower. Is this really happening?

^ Precisely my thoughts since it was announced. Seems like if something of this size is going to open in 2017, there should at least be some type of ground work happening.

I was on the Orlando Eye the weekend before last, and I was trying to remember which block it was supposed to be on. A total lack of construction anywhere did not help me remember.

Why would someone spend so much money on marketing and creating a promotional video and not build it? It never makes sense to me when things like this happen.

You gotta spend money to lose money.... or something like that.

I think it goes more like this:

"You've got to make a really impressive promotional package to get investors to give you money so you can escape to a beach in the tropics."

On what basis? Maybe you know a lot more than you lead on, but do any of us have any data other than some cool renderings and a lack of construction?
