Intamin Standup Inversion

Ok, I have a question... The 7Up Shockwave at Drayton Manor park in England has prized itself upon being the world's only Stand-Up coaster with a Zero G Roll. Why haven't more standups featured Zero G Rolls?

What is intense about standing up in 0 Gs? It doesn't require any strenght or anything.

Stand ups dont include basic elements like a cobra Roll,immelman, and zero g rolls. Why

Well, I'm not too sure why they wouldn't put a cobra roll on a stand-up coaster. Immelmans, however, have only been on inverted coasters until now. If memory serves, I believe that the floorless at Warner Bros. Movie World in Madrid will be the first non-inverted coaster to include an immelman. But Mantis, Chang and Riddler's Revenge all have diving loops, which are pretty much like a reversed immelman. (I do know that they're not the exact same thing, but they're close). So perhaps, if anyone even builds a stand-up again, we may see an immelman. I'd love to try a zero-g roll on a stand-up, as that would be quite a different experience than sitting down.

I would love to see a cobra roll on a standup.

Despite the fact that Drayton Manor Park is 30 mins from my house, I hadn't been there in 15 years because the thought of only two coasters didn't wet my appetite, especially as I'm not a big fan of standups!

However, I went last week and have to say Shockwave was very surprising! The zero g-roll was the best element on a stand-up I've experienced. The only rough part of the ride was hitting the station brakes, and since it's easy to prepare for this I thought the ride was good, but VERY short! Maybe because it's short and there a few changes in direction is why there was no head-banging, but I thought it was smooth, and the crowds of people getting off were the happiest I've seen since S:ROS!
