What's with PKI and its site?

Last year, for the longest time PKI claimed that with
the edition of SOB they would tie CP for having the
most coasters. But they counted The Racer as 2
coasters, but they obviously couldn't count because
this would only give them 13. With MF, CP would
have 14, not 13. And PKI forgot to figure Gemini as 2
coasters as they did with The Racer. Now I check
there website and looking at the James Bond 007: A
License to Thrill page, they are again having
trouble counting because they claim the following:

"Number of Motion Base Seats:
148 (78 per Theater)"

Now the last time I checked 78 + 78 = 156, and not
148.

Get with it PKI!

I hate to break this to you, CPgenius, but on the official Cedar Point website, go to thrill rides, then to Gemini. It describes Gemini...

From this description, (if I didn'd know for sure) I would assume that Gemini is a woodie. I know that the supports are wooden, but Gemini is a steel coaster. Steel track = steel coaster. I have a feeling that there are errors on EVERY park's official website, so why slag them for it?

Its no different than CP claiming all those world records for MF. Saying that MF is the first to have an elevator lift is not a record.

In the FAQ they say Gemini is steel.

I try to explain that steel wood thing to people and they don't understand. They think that because woodies have that thin metal strip that they should be steel and that all steel coasters are wooden. They also say that since 90% of the Gemini isa wood, it is wooden. They know nothing.

Soggy, what I'm talking about, is that when PKI claimed to have as many coasters as CP, the GP would read that, and they WOULD believe it. PKI knew what they were doing when they posted that on their site, and it was a blant attempt to diminish CP's attendance.

You've got a point there, but how many REAL records does MF break? How many people make their decisions on where to go by internet alone? Theme parks and roller coasters are not the destination for the GP anyways. Usually GP folks, when on vacation, will go to a park near wherever they happen to be. If you have family in the Cincinatti area, PKI is the nearest megapark, so the decision is made. It would take alot of false advertising to persuade people to go to PKI instead of CP. There are far more people who make anual pilgramages to CP than PKI, people who live in the area will most likely go to both parks anyway.

All megaparks play the media game, Six Flags, Cedar Fair, Paramount, Disney, and the rest will always strech the truth in their favor. Why? $$$$$$$$$$

Another reason the GP would be more likely to go to CP is because they actually have commercials. Over here in Indiana, there are many CP commercials, but absolutely no KI commercials. Are there any in Ohio?

I am going ot PKI because I have already been to CP 3 times!!! I am also going for a new experience. I love CP, but I just can't stand the same thing every time I go there. Can't wait for Beast and Son of Beast!
