RCT2 Very Possible!!
Here is what Chris Sawyer said about it back in July 2000.
"Q. Have you any plans to create an RCT 2?
A. I'm sure it's something I'll think about doing sometime. Roller coasters still fascinate me, and there are many areas where RollerCoaster Tycoon can be improved. However, I'm waiting for technology to catch up enough to enable me to do what I really want to with the game. I also don't want to 'burn out' my interest in the game, something which might happen if I started work on a sequel this soon."

Exactly. "Some time in the future" isn't a phrase to get excited about and start clearing space on your harddrive. I'm sure that "some time in the future" there will be a game that allows you to ride your coasters, adjust the guests, twist elements manually instead of stock parts, etc... But that doesn't mean tomorrow.

I don't care about "some time in the future." I want to know when they start working on it.
You know in a way, this is good. I mean look at the Blair Witch Project, did great at the box office and everything, then they rushed the second one and it was horrible. The longer we wait (not to long), the better the game will be. He is very smart for just letting it settle. The original is still selling and all the expansions to it.
Overall, there WILL be an RCT2, no doubt. They have a best seller and it would be dumb for them not to make more money. Its the question of when.

A. When Chris Sawyer feels like it.
B. When some Hasbro dicks (aka executives) put a team together and have them develop it.
I hope it's A, because if it's B, it will have no charm that Chris Sawyer games have.
