Skyhawk Cable Snap at Cedar Point 7/26/14

Breaking news across the intertubes is that Skyhawk (S&S Screamin Swing) had a cable snap tonight with riders on board at Cedar Point. There were allegedly some injuries (possible broken leg).

Skyhawk was down for most of last year awaiting parts/repairs. Not sure if that was cable related or not.

With all the problems on this ride the last 2 seasons, the future of this ride doesn't look good. I'm thinking it's going to the chopping block soon. I got 3 rides on it this year. If they do get it running again, it's unlikely I'll go on it again. This ride doesn't sound safe.

Still no news network coverage from what I could find, but this was the most legitimate appearing thing I found.

Have other Screamin' Swings had similar issues? Or has CP just had bad luck with theirs lately?

Dorney had problems with theirs a few seasons ago, but nothing big since then as far as I know.
