V2's Brakes Are Awesome

It's pretty cool to watch the brakes move up and down!!! Just had to say it. And if you watch the brakes you can tell when they are going to launch the coaster because they raise up out of the line of fire. Then the operator says "station clear" and then ... Zoooooommm

by the way anyone notice how the train screaches out of the station?

I wonder if the screaching is bad for the wheels, maybe they have to change the wheels a lot.

I like talking to myself, Does anyone know if V2 is bigger than UE?

I wonder how much pressure the restraints can take because you really get pushed against them when you are on the back spike and the brakes hold you for a second.

The screeching isn't coming from the wheels. It has to do with the motors trying to synchronize. You know that hum that you get from an AC electric motor when it stalls or when it starts up? That's what you're hearing when V2 screeches.

Does V2, like S:UE, have NO brakes in the station? :)

I think the scream when it launches is the best part of the ride. =)

The distance from station platform to top of the spikes are the same.

But from the station to the ground is what causes the difference in heights. S:UE's station is lower to the ground due to WoA's 180' max zoning height limit.

What are heights? Heights are what the park markets it as. SFMW is about 160 feet above ground level, but it's in a ravine or something . That is because of zoning laws. SFWoA is 180 feet because of the same kind of laws. I think SFGAm's is the highest above ground level, but they all are the same height above station level.

Same thing with Deja Vus. SFMM is just as tall as SFGAm and SFoG, even though SFMM is told to be 190 feet or something like that.

TRbigger, you are correct. I dont know why people say V2 is bigger. I watched a movie off SixFlags.com and it said V2 was only 150ft. So dont believe everthing you read. There wrong. They are exact clones.
