Vote!

RF2 will definitely be high on my list but I think that was the only new wood I got this year.

Blue Streak and GA Cyclone both moved up, though.

Regardless, it won't be statistically significant. Now that we've gotten that out of the way.

New woodies for me (of significance): Outlaw Run, American Thunder. Neither registered high enough for me to care enough to submit a ballot.

Edit: Oh yeah, I guess I also rode KRumbler for the first time this year.

Annual polls on the Internet. That's cute. :)

If there were a "same as last year with these minor changes" format, I'd be much more inclined to participate. I just have so little motivation to dig up my old ballot and look at it and figure out where new things go and how old things changed.

HAHAHA! Jeff!

But seriously, that's a great point. Why bother with a yearly poll when you have an ongoing, up-to-date poll right here at CoasterBuzz?

For one thing, the current buzz poll is very us centric. It's not the most comprehensive.

It's good to know what people like at Cedar Point, though.

In fact, having checked, 99 Cbuzz top 100 are in the US. One was in Canada. By that, if I were to put faith in the Cbuzz poll, I'd assume that there are no coasters that are any good outside North America. I doubt that's very accurate.

Over/Under 10 spot bump for Rolling Thunder courtesy of it being repurposed as toothpicks and mulch.

The trick was to surrender to the flow.

Coincidentally, 99% of the CoasterBuzz audience is from the US.

I considered myself a "cultured" person, however, I really don't have much of an interest in traveling outside the U.S. I am interested in coasters outside the U.S. to see what is new and popular, but I doubt that I will ever have the chance to ride them.

So, as far as polls go, I am much more interested in the top coasters in the U.S., because that's what I am going to be looking forward to ride someday.

I don't know if I am in the minority or majority with this way of thinking. At least I am being honest here.

I'm not sure how to make this sound not condescending on the internet, but here goes...

All it takes is a passport and plane ticket. But for the love of gosh, don't go to ride roller coasters, go to broaden and better yourself as a person. Seeing the world is a human experience no one should miss out on.

Oddly enough, that didn't sound condescending, matt. I just gave up on "seeing the world." Like a lot of people, I only make about ten dollars and hour nowadays, and I have bills to pay. I'd rather spend my extra money on visiting amusement parks and buying iTunes downloads. Also, I have a fear of traveling, for some reason. I really like movies that transport me to other parts of the world from the safety of my own home.

I am still bettering myself by advancing my jobs and careers every few years. When I am making twice as much as I am now, I still don't know if I could bring myself to even cross the Canadian border to see Niagara Falls or not.

It might have something to do with me being a loner. I bet if I had friends or family who wanted to see other parts of the world with me, it would be less scary. Thanks for listening. :p

Indeed, and I'm glad you acknowledge that.

This is why I can't abide the Golden Ticket Awards, since they claim to be international but give 80% of the ballot papers to the US.

But that's another debate :)

And I thank you for bringing the international flavor. That, and you bring coaster credit whoring to a new level. :)

To me this poll lost some of it's credibility when certain websites started ranking The Voyage at like #85 to ensure their fave would be #1. Yeah, you can have it. No thanks.

Well I've never taken the poll, but I'm pretty sure Voyage would be around #85 for me...

Awww! Well if it makes you feel better, I have a real fear of flying....so much that I have to get poo faced in order to get on the plane. I too am a loner, but that doesn't stop me from traveling. There is something about seeing the world from the varied lenses of different cultures that just makes you appreciate life more. To me, seeing the world brings even more returns than material possessions.

If you ever get the chance, take advantage. Start with an in-expesive cruise or a trip to our friendly neighbors up north.

I submitted a ballot. Nothing changed this year aside from the addition of White Lightning which was high on my list (#3 behind El Toro and Phoenix).
