A Benton County woman filed a civil lawsuit against Silverwood Theme Park last week, alleging a costumed worker spooked her so badly in the parking lot in 2011 that she passed out and hit her head.

An actor responsible for frightening Scarywood patrons at Silverwood Theme Park was punched several times in the face Thursday night. According to an incident report from the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, a Scarywood attendee was walking with a group of friends through one of the areas when he "observed what he thought to be a stuffed doll" crouched behind a box.

Because people suck.
Actually, I get it. Who hasn't seen someone ****ing with props and decorations?
"Look at me, I'm punching the spooky rag doll!"
Happens all the time.
With as often as the actors use the "sit and look like a prop and then jump up suddenly" approach, I'm actually surprised this isn't more common.
Idaho is like the West Virginia of the Northwest. There, I said it. I'm an elitist dick.

When I worked security at Six Flags Great Adventure, you would not believe the stuff people would do to the characters. A lot of them are minors, so we've have to call their parents to find out if they wanted charges filed. A lot where teenage girls punched by teenage boys who got scared in a haunted house. Their excuse, she popped out and scared me. Really dude, really?
Thanks,

If your coming to any of the parks during Halloween you should be prepared to be scared. Being on park property during Halloween is you giving you consent and agreeing to be scared. NOBODY should be allowed to sue for something so ridiculous. If they fail to scare you then they aren't doing their crappy minimum wage jobs correctly.
I didn't know this, but apparently in Europe, they don't have frivolous lawsuits like this. Now I'm the type of person who thinks that America is best at nearly everything, but I mean come on, Europe's courts are beating us in the "common sense" aspects of the law. This crap seriously needs to be dealt with.

Not elitist at all... It is (almost) universally understood that stereotypical humor is still acceptable for a few groups...if that was the angle you were seeking. But they are definitely similar in per capita GDP, population, landscape beauty, etc.
I thought it was funny that the girl in the first story was named "Griswold." Sounds like something that would happen to Clark and the gang...
No worries, you definitely don't corner the market on being unfunny.
