I like to think that it's more a lack of tolerance on our part for people treating Coasterbuzz like Facebook. Seriously, I think people who have enough time to share their thoughts but not enough time to express those thoughts in a coherent, intelligible manner need to spend less time on the Internet and more time paying attention in English class.

That may sound harsh, but it boils my blood when I'm at work and see professional memos littered with typos and poor grammar. It destroys any ability I have to take them seriously.

Amen. I make mistakes like the rest of us, but I get a little twitchy in the eye when I see really crazy grammar issues, spelling, punctuation, etc.

That is really the point. If you want to be taken seriously, you have to be willing to express yourself in a reasonably professional manner.

Nobody's perfect. But if you don't have enough respect for what you're saying to take the few measly seconds it takes to spell words correctly, why should I waste my time paying attention to what you're saying?
