Are Batmans the only Six Flag Inverts by B&M?

If SFFT gets an inverted, hopefully it'd have an original design, since SFAW has an SLC, and SFoT has a Batman clone. It would be a dream to ride an inverted in the front seat, while diving around the quarry wall area.

I think that when B&M designed the Inverted coaster they had intensity in mind. A lot of the larger inverts just aren't as intense as the BTR's. I still think that BTR is one of the coolest looking Inverts out there. I am just glad that my home park has the original. All the others just don't compare.

Six Flags needs to stop with the clones.
The Batman Rides are a let down after you've gone on Montu. Yeah, they saved money, but in the long run, it hurts. Yes, they're intense, but so short.
What's really sad is that the full potential of the inverted has never been reached. They need to build a hyper, with 4 giant hills, then have the regular ending. On Deuling Dragons Fire, there is a negative G hill that produces air time as you go over Ice. This is so awesome, airtime on an inverted, where else do you find that? The inverted is my favorite. I hope someone realizes this and builds a huge one.

But you have to realize that most people that have ridden a B:TR have never even heard of Montu, much less ridden it.

How does it hurt? Because enthusiasts will more than likely skip that park in favor of one with less clones? Thats about the only thing, and that would be less than 1% of theme park guests. They wouldn't feel a thing from building a clone.

I must say, SFGAm does not have an inverted clone. If you belive that, you are wrong! They are not clones if they are the first! Batman: The Ride @ SFGAm is not a clone of Batman: The Ride. Goliath is not a clone of Titan, Raptor is not a clone of that Japanese one. Hangover is not a clone of Invertigo. Got it? If it's the original, it's not a clone. I'm just saying this because a number of people I chat with seem to think even the originals are clones. If you still don't belive me, think about this: B:TR @ SFGAm has a layout to fit on the space a Schwarzkopf shuttle sat on. How could a clone do that?

HA! I laugh in your general direction...
I rode Montu, absolutely loved it! My favorite invert that I've ridden. A month later, I rode B:TR @ SFStL, it almost made me grey out. Still a fantastic coaster, not a let down at all. Only B&M invert I've ridden after Montu that was a letdown (even moreso than usual) was Raptor...

I just thought of a situation where SF would probably make an inverted which is not a clone! If SFFT gets an inverted, it would probably be a new layout. My reasons are A. SFoT has B:TR; B. Sea World Texas has Great White, the same thing as B:TR
I think those facts are right. Hopefully you guys in Texas will get a new invert for SFFT!

If I'm correct, of all the inverteds at Six Flags parks, there are only four types:

Batman the Rides
V2/S:UE
Vekoma SLC's
Vekoma Inverigos/Super Invertigos

I don't see why SF would clone a coaster from one of it's competitor's parks. Also, Raptor was built over the Midway and things so that it could fit, I don't see why they would clone that.

Talon has loads of airtime, go ride it.

Batman was a great ride, but Talon and Great Bear were more fun and more smooth. Batman was more intense than GB, but about the same as Talon.

I really enjoyed Batman: The Ride at SFMM. The ride was very short though. It was over too soon. But the theming was very cohesive and really well done. Like Disney or IOA well done. Anyway, it is a good ride!

I sure would not mind seeing a raptor or talon clone at Knotts. That would work to replace windjammer. Every other Cedar Fair seems to be getting one!

Ok, I'll explain a little more. I've been on Montu, and Raptor, then I visit SFStl and ride Batman. I sit in the front and the train hangs half way down the first hill before you even get moving. You're only 100 feet above the ground, it's like a kiddie hill compared to Montu. Then the ride only lasts 50 seconds... a few loops, the heart line spin, the helix, and you're back at the station. Yes, intense 50 seconds, but over too fast. I go on it one more time in the back, and that's it.
Then a friend and I visit SFGAm and the wait for Batman is 1 hour, we pass.

So there you go, the penality for having a smaller version of the ride is.
1. I'm not excited about it.
2. I don't hype it up to friends.
3. I don't ride it if the wait is long.

I'm going to Discovery Cove/SWF July 4th, and the next day I plan on driving over to BGT just to ride Montu/Kumba/Gwazi. Now if they had Batman, I'd be bummed and not as excited. But Montu is the reason I'll drive over there for a few hours before coming back to SWF. When I ride Montu, I usualy go on it 5 times or more, same with Kraken.

It matters. When parks install small versions (clones or prototypes) of a ride, it hurts in the long run.

And yes, I hear what you're saying about most people not even knowing about Montu, but that's changing with the internet and the tv shows on the Discovery Channel. You don't see them talking about Batman rides, you see Raptor and Montu on those shows.

I know this may sound whacked, but Six Flags and PGA should consider building full length inverteds to make up for the small ones they have.

Well that sucks that you had to ride an inferior invert like Raptor before you rode B:TR. Let me tell you what happened when B:TR opened @ SFGAm.

In 1992, I went there with my physics class (Physics Day) and everyone there was freaked out by the ride because it was so different. We timed the ride while waiting in line and the time from drop to breaks was very short. As we were waiting, we were all like "That's it?" About this time, we got into the "park" part of the queue and were diggin the scenery. Then we went into the alley/gutter/drainpipe part and we caught a little trepidation. But we still thought the ride was gonna be too short. Finally, we got to the BatCave and it was our turn to ride.

We headed right for the back row, sat down and strapped in. I remember going down the drop, into the first loop and then the inline twist.... After that, the next thing I remember was the breaks. That thing was so madly intense and it made ALL of us dizzy. I couldnt walk down the exit ramp straight.

None of the other inverts have done that to me. Not Ice, not Fire, not Top Gun:TJC, not even Montu and especially not Raptor. Maybe you were spolied by the long-drawn out pauses of Raptor that make the ride last longer, but dont really do anything. If that's your thing, fine. If you like your inverts to have breaks that disrupt the pacing and give you a chance to catch your breath, bully for you. But some of us like the non-stop speed and acrobatics that only the Batman coasters provide. And I'm sorry but the Batman clones rock.

Dont take my word for it, go to any of the park with a Batman and see how long the line is.

Oh and one more thing, Batman *HAS* been on one of the Discovery Channel shows (though why they picked the SFMM version is beyond me...)
