Cross your fingers, thrill-seekers and coaster enthusiasts. Knoebels Amusement Park officials are optimistic that Flying Turns - seven years in the making - could open later this year or early next season. Joe Muscato, director of public relations, said tests have been done continuously this summer and there is confidence that a vehicle that will work has been developed.

Knoebels is a great family park with a wonderful sense of history and preservation of classic rides and atmosphere. I'm sure they are as capable as anyone to get this ride up and running. In the meantime, the park has continued to install new attractions and have continued to run the park with an excellence that is matched by few. I hope to be there the day the ride opens. Whether that's next month, next year or when ever it opens.

Saw the new trains sitting in the station on Saturday. They look nice and as the photos in the article show they have the logos on the side. If they took the time to do that I would think they really feel they are on the right path with these trains.
On a side note I always enjoy wearing my Flying Turns t-shirt I bought the first year of construction. Always a conversation starter at the park. "Where did you get that?" "Do they still sell these?" "Are they ever going to open that damn thing?".
