Lakeside Park in Denver

Heading to Lakeside Park to ride the Cyclone. For anyone who's been there: are the all-you-can-ride passes worth it, or is pay-per-ride my best bet? I guess what I'm really asking is: a) are there other enjoyable rides there, and b) will I want to ride Cyclone multiple times?

The only time i've been there it was free for unlimited rides. All you had to do was pay the admission fee, then you could ride it unlimited times. I'm not sure if it still is worth it. I haven't ridden it in a long time.

If you can appreciate one of the best of the old time traditional parks left in the states, you'll have a great time at Lakeside. Cyclone is a great woodie, half twister, half out and back. Nothing major by today's standards, but a totally fun old woodie with the best, most comfortable trains of any coaster. They also have the wild Chipmunk, a classic Miler version of a Wild Mouse, nothing like the new watered down family versions that are now all the rage. The airtime and bone crushing laterals make this one of my favorites. Another highlight is the classic Whip, one of the last few left. The pay one price pass is the way to go, totally cheap as it is, only $11 M-F, you can't beat that deal. And if you can, go at night. I didn't get to, but everyone says the place is amazing with all the old classic art deco buildings covered with a bazillion multi colored neon lights. Have a great time!

Cyclone is a great ride and the Wild Chipmunk is great fun, so if your in the area, be sure to stop by. Crowds are small!

This place is a MUST! The atmosmphere alone is worth more than the price of admission. We were there last August, dodging tornados. The Cyclone is defintely a timeless experience.

I was lucky enough to get to stop there one evening last summer. The old neon and other lights are amazing.
