The deceptively pedestrian-looking triple-launch coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain packs a fistful of powerful punches and delivers a heavy helping of thrills in a compact package. Silky smooth and whisper quiet, Full Throttle starts with a 70-mph, rocket-fast launch into a 160-foot-tall loop that’s much bigger than it looks from the ground.

The train seems to almost stall at the top of the loop — delivering a dose of fall-out-of-your-seat hang time that defines the Full Throttle experience. Indeed, during preview runs on Friday a few trains failed to navigate the loop, rolling slowly and safely back into the station.
What's the over/under on when it gets stuck in the loop?
I know I dont like it when people say how short and uneventful a ride is when they have not ridden it, and I am doing that now (shame on me). But it really does not look all that fantastic. The launch to loop does look fun and the back/front launch at end but still not really impressed. Am I missing something?

Just a sense of wonder and the ability to enjoy what's right in front of you.
Yea, we are in agreement that it looks fun. Most roller coasters are fun, however, I don't think this looks any more fun than many other rides of that kind.
They did a good job marketing the ride as the most amazing thing ever, I'll say that.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I can't wait to ride this one. It looks like a blast, no pun intended. That sloooooow huge loop is scary fun, I'm sure, and the backwards/forward launch is novel. There seems to be little airtime on that last hill, but it is really wide. The drop down looks like a good dose of air, but then comes the brake. No matter, for it's size it looks like fun.
Oh, and btw, check out the doofy guys in the one vid who turn into actors, giving each other the fake "wtf?" motions while parked in the tunnel. Ha! Don't quit your day jobs, fellas.

^^ Forward and backwards launch is novel? Didn't Intamin do that over 10 years ago on their Impulse Coasters (which I still consider HIGHLY UNDERRATED...)?
Yep. And there's a grand total of 7 of those in the world...so yeah, it's still a pretty novel experience.
(same sort of hard time giving intended)
