What's with the Crickets?

It's been three days since we've had any news. Many parks have already opened for the season, and most, if not all will be open this weekend. The news should be buzzing. What gives?

Apparently the ungodly surge of Cedar Point trip reports are not enough.

That's never stopped Timber-Rider before.

May and June are typically soft news months because nothing really happens. The parks open, but the coverage of new rides and what not tends to build in the weeks prior to opening. Things start to pick up again in July with construction projects and then announcements. Typically, you only see a lot of news this time of year if there's a deadly accident, which I'd rather not see, pageviews or not.

In other words. Enjoy the quiet parks and equally quiet community sites now, because it will pick up again soon enough.

Heres some news from SFNE, Goliath will not run the new train this season and has the old one back on so the ride will be open for Coaster Con!

You got a point there. in just a few days the tenth anniversary of Holiday World's "Night of Silence" will be upon us. :(
