Ive heard a lot of rumors about the american eagle at great america. first wernt the trains suppose to run backwards this year, and second i also heard that it was going to be re-built in steel. Anyone have any thoughts?

Backwards never again, according to an Eagle ride op. Too much stress. Rebuilt in steal ? I doubt it.

yeah I heard that its going to be rebuild too in steal! that whould be cool ! they could keep it for a longer time!

GreatAmericaBoy, why does it mean they can keep it longer? Do you think that once the wood rots, it's over? I doubt there is much of the 20 year old wood left on it. If it is maintained, it can last as long as the human race does.

And seriously, rebuilt in steel? Get real. Otherwise just use intelligence, they would never do that.
