Land clearing at PGA!

I was at pga on 6/21 and notice land clearing next to the x-treme Skyflyer while I was on the Demon. The clearing was where the TA2K was supposed to go last year. I just wanted to know what you guys thought would go there.
My thought...THE WHIZZER'S REVENGE!

Maybe they're just clearing the swamp to control the mosquitos... :)

I saw the EXACT same thing! They had construction walls set up buy they wren't too big. Maybe construction on a bathroom or stall but I can't wait for our new wooide in 2002! How about "Cub of Grizzley"

The thing with this land clearing is that it gives access to a lot of land behind white water falls and the Pictorium theater. I hope we get something good.

If you go on the SkyTower, you can get a good view of this. They have torn down the railroad tracks where they are starting construction on something. I see a few concrete footers there too. Cross your fingers for a brand new coaster! The last thing we need at PGA is another pay-per-ride attraction.

The footers are probably from where the Whizzer once was. When they took it down the footers remained.

ok just think positive.. no negatives like "swamp" and "oold whizzer footers" sounds like they aint doing nothing.. Hope they surprise us with something!!

on thrillride.com rumors one person asked a staff and he said all rumors are false

carr, i was at PGA the same day you went. Probably saw you too but I wouldn't know about it.
Anyways, everybody is saying how the old Whizzer space isn't used to it's full extent. Lets hope for the best! Also, I notice there is a lot of space next to Top Gun. Does PGA own that or the city of Santa Clara?

Umm. With all these recent topic on land clearing, do you think that some might be for one reason: A tree is rotting or fell, and needs to be removed? That could be the answer to a lot of these. But this is not one that sounds like it.

For all you know, it might be a new bathroom, and the footers are probably Whizzer's. Did you know that I heard a rumor that Whizzer at SFGAm was being moved to PGA? Doubt it will happen. Probably a new bathroom, or maybe access to more land so they can put in another coaster.

I doubt it's another bathroom. It's a pretty pig plot of land. You can tell that they have started tearing up the railroad track so that whole Whizzer area is opened up. I'd doubt that a SF ride will be going to a Paramount Park. *** This post was edited by Davis on 6/24/2001. ***

I just got back from PGA (6/23) and I saw the cleared land. It is pretty big but we can only guess what PGA is going to do with it!

There is a bathroom next to vortex, thats too close. Im hoping that the land will be for a coaster or at least a new themed area of the park.
