Tilt Coaster!?

I heard from a friend that a company was building a tilt coaster in Taiwan. Is this true and f it is, why haven't there been any news articles about it?

It looks pretty boring after the initial drop, and I think the drop needs to be much taller, but it's an innovation, and perhaps we'll see better ones to come in the future!

Thanks. I agree with you Jman. It should definately have a much more interesting layout.

Who cares about the layout. Would you actually get on it? I don't get scared easily by coasters, but this new kind of coaster freaks me out.

Vekoma is building it, so don't expect it to work for a few years after it opens :)

The tilt coaster looks like such an interesting idea- but something about it gives me a bad feeling. Kind of like a disaster waiting to happen. I get uneasy looking at it, to tell you the truth.

That would stink to be at the top and the brakes failed while you were tilting.

I slagged of this idea recently, about if the track wasn't aligned when the brakes were released etc.....but I just realised tilt coasters have been around for years without problems, the Ultra Twisters......still not sure about Giovanolas tilt and twist one, seems too ambitious.

The tilt coaster idea is totally awesome. Even it is only 2800 feet just think of what it will feel like on the first drop. It does look a little dangerous but I bet they have certain saftey mechanism that will prevent something like that from happening. What would be the freakiest thing on the ride is that most coasters pull you over the first hill, but this sob is going to give you time to lok down the hill due to the braking system. I think this will be like the drop zone ride at pki. The ammount of anticipation before the actual drop will add a whole new thrill element to itself.

If the brakes fail, You'll be stuck up there. brakes are always closed. If they fail, they can't open.
