Indiana Beach Amusement Resort, the longtime Monticello recreation spot on Lake Shafer, owes White County an estimated $347,000 in combined property and innkeeper’s taxes, according to the county’s tourism authority and treasurer.

IB was my favorite park from a mid western swing that included Holiday World and Six Flags America. Hope they can turn it around.
If Couch bought it just to close it, He wouldn't have sunk over 3 million to open it in 2002. The fact was there were rarely more in the park than employees. Pugh had no money or credit. Every dime was Jerrys. It would have taken several more million just to fix underlying problems long left un maintained.
As for IB, Karma? I mean the way they treated long time employees and their operations when I was there with half of everything closed at most times............
And last time I looked, Both Knoebels and HW or huge camping resort/parks even if Rudolph isn't technically HW.
Chuck, I'm sure GCG was just attempting to be humorous by trying to relate this to peoples ideas about what happened to Geauga Lake. Like when people say "if they needed a hotel, one would have already been built"

IB is offering 40% discounted accommodation rates. I hope the park ends up in good hands... It was such a perfect and reliable "staple" for so long before this group took over.
Oh... just saw the deal expires today. Who wants to go to IB in February? Strange.
