First post!!! Seriously though, awesome to have another episode of the podcast! Hope to see more in the future.

It's great to see the return of the podcast!

I completely feel the love for the mountains. I've vacationed in Seattle several times and driven from there to Portland, OR and Vancouver, BC. On the way back for Portland I drove up Mt. Rainier. It felt like I was inside a fractal, the further up the mountain I drove, more detail and beauty was revealed. Photos can never capture the true grandeur and slendor.

It's true what I was always told as a kid... the west coast moutains make anthills out of the east coast moutains.

Glad to hear you back! And I'd LOVE to go through SFNO. I have family down there, and you were right about people not wanting to leave because it's home. In some neighborhoods, you can still see the marks left by searchers after Katrina. It's quite eerie.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a Podcast this morning. :-)

Not a big deal, but the new B&M coasters are Wing Riders, not Flyers. The Flyers have been out a while. I'm sure a good portion of the public will think of it as a flying coaster.

I believe Chippewa is still just sitting unused. However, I think most has been cleared out. I was there not to long ago and the ferris wheel was still standing with a tree growing up through it.

The Lakeside train ride at night offers one of the most beautiful views available at any park in the US...the lights reflecting on the lake...awesomeness!

You're the one who told me to go see Lakeside at night, Gator! That's right! :-)

It kinda threw me off for the rest of the podcast, though. ;-)

Lakeside is absolutely gorgeous at night (at least as of when I was there, years ago now...)

And yes, I'm the one who contributed the pictures of the Lakeside Cyclone station.

Yes I did. That's why I said it wasn't a big deal. I just figured I'd mention it for those who aren't as up on the terminology.

Speaking of, what ever happened to the Intamin wingwalker design? They got Furious Baco up a number of years before B&M built Raptor and yet, B&M seems to be getting all the new contracts.

Good point, Andy. I had almost forgotten about the Intamin design. Is it just B&M's reputation for reliability or is there more to it?

My guess is that the cost-difference on the Wingwalker design is minimal or non-existent, so parks end up getting the more reliable B&M product....?

Are you implying Intamin rides aren't reliable?

Sorry, I tried to say that with a straight face, but I LOL'd.

Furious Baco has (in my opinion) similar vibration issues that Arrow/S&S have experienced with the 4D coasters and Vekoma experienced on the Giant Inverted Boomerangs. The outside seats are rougher and the farther back you sit is rougher. I felt Furious Baco was a great ride in the front center seat. But, an outside seat in the back was brutal. It was "furious on my baco" ;-)

I saw on Screamscape a couple months ago that some park in Asia is building a coaster that's a mix of Intamins WingRide and their Impulse roller coaster.

It was great to see a new podcast. Thanks for doing this.
