SFSTL Cleanest Six Flags Park

The park was recently named the cleanest Six Flags park for 1999-2000. In the past they were the cleanest park in the entire industry from 1971-1995.

I have always thought that SFSTL was a beautiful park. You can't beat the visual aspect of it...you have Screamin' Eagle rolling against the hills, and The Boss over to the left, Mr Freeze juts upward into the sky piercing it with it's blue terror, and other coasters mingling in the park not too noticeable but yet they're there. I love the landscaping at the park in the past. I haven't been a regular at the park for some years but I know when I was younger we would go there and I would just be in awe at how nice and well manicured the park looked. Hardly ever seen trash laying around on the footpaths or any vandalism. (I know now on BTR there is some trash laying around the ride but you really kinda have to be picking at it to notice it) SFSTL is a park not to miss IMO.

I was there last summer and it was very nice.

They must have let this award go to their heads. While the park is by no means filthy, there are some areas that they have really let go – most noticeably the Batman queue. The landscaping in the “park” section is now nothing more than dead plants, dirt, and a broken fountain; the back of the sewer tunnel is completely covered with gum (and has been all season – they are making no effort to clean it) and the air conditioning is broken in the station (making is unbearably hot and quite smelly)… what is the point of putting in all the theaming if you aren’t going to take care of it???

All in all though, SFStL is one of the cleaner parks I’ve been to recently.

You know, it's kind of odd that [almost] everyone says that the real Six Flags parks have good landscaping and are usually clean. Wonder why? (Thank you Angus Wynne!)
