How much do you like Cedar Point?
This year in Honors9 English, we had to write an essay of our favorite place in the world. While most kids wrote about their rooms or grandma's house, I wrote about Cedar Point.

Let's face it. CP has tons of hype surrounding it. 'best amusement park on the planet', best coasters, biggest collection of coasters, etc.
Cp does have its awesome pros, but it isnt without its cons. I kept that in mind before my first trip in 2000, as I was prepared to be dissapointed. after all, hype usually ruins things for me.. such as upcoming movies.I tried to look past the hype , and decided to see CP for myself.
and what a surprise I found! from my first descent of 300 feet I was converted. CP truly is the best park on the planet, with the best coaster collection. And it doesn't JUST contain coasters, (something i thought would also be true) it contains top-notch midway flat rides, drop towers, wet rides, kiddie rides, a beach, shows, and even a swim up bar. Yes, read it here: CP deserves the hype. It's simply amusement utopia.
How else could a one day trip turn out to be a three day oddysey?

I dont like it very much. Waits are too long. Only 4 good coasters and MF isnt all that great. Only thing I like is buy 1lbs of fudge get a 1/2 lbs free. I mean its a good park and I'll take me once a year trip that I don't have to pay for to get in but thats it.

I don't really like it all that much.
(He says as he glances at his Cedar Point maps on his wall, hung above a slew of pictures from one of his visits, and print outs of all the coasters, right before posting his reply, with the e-mail adress "CPs MagnumXL200." Hehe :))

Very much! Worked there '96-'98, and I too have maps/postcards on my walls. While every park has things that it does better than CP does, such as themeing, food, even coasters (some parks have coasters better than CP, it's true!), overall I feel that Cedar Point delivers a superior experience, both in volume and quality. Every park could improve, but CP would not be rated as high as it is if it wasn't doing something right! :)

It's your 100% "completement park". It has the whole gazoona of elements required for a well rounded amusement park experience. With the 2nd largest mechanical ride collection in the world (following Six Flags Great Adventure), Cedar Point is without doubt the park that defines the word variety. The only fourlegged, two in one, Space Shot & Turbo Drop attraction can only be found on this peninsula. America's tallest and fastest full circuit coaster also makes its home at Cedar Point. Let's not forget the other aspects of this mammoth resort, such as Soak City, Challenge Park, Cedar Point Beach, the "100 hotels" ;), and all of the other full amusement park resort keys that other parks don't have.
