Front Seat on Millennium Force?

After riding MF three times during Coastermania, I was disappointed not to get a ride in the front seat.

I prefer Nitro and S:ROS to MF, and was wondering if this is because I've never sat in the front seat of MF.

Is the front better?

The front is breathtaking. It is nothing like you've ever experienced before. The ride it pretty much the same, but the views are spectacular.

I hit MF 6 times at Coastermania and failed to get up front every time. I really wished you could have gotten up front. I got up front twice last year, and it is nothing short of a spiritual experience. You really are a bug shield for everyone else in the train though...:)

Yeah, what is it with those Mufflehead things. I swallowed two and that was in the back!

I hit Cedar Point this year for the first time. Decided to goto MF straight off the bat and ended up in the front seat. It was a great way to start off the season. Got in six rides on MF, two in the front seat.

Even during the day, I managed to have a few bugs splattered on my jacket.

I get a kick out of reading these posts... MF is so cool that people talk about whether they got the front or not. Kinda like something you must do because it's there, or you won something.
There is a 1 in 18 chance you will get it.
I've been 3 times and missed.
You could always count the people ahead of you as you near the station, and see if you could be the 37th or 73rd person. Pretend you're tying your shoe or something. But don't let the gaurd at the turnstile see you doing this, or they'll get very mad at you and place you in the middle of the train. This happened to me once, some kids stopped near the station, let a few people pass, and I stopped behind them. The girl pulled the two into the station and I was front, but she was mad at me for stopping with the kids and they moved me to the middle.
Oh well, you could always go during MM (Millennium Mania) at the end of the season, and you'd probably get it for sure.
Yeah, I wanna do it, just because it's there.

I was lucky enough to ride in the first row on my very first ride last year. It was an experience I will always remember. My brother thought I was crazy for holding my hands up the whole way.

Don't fret too much about not getting the front row, I am sure that sooner or later they will let people wait for it. Besides, the next four rides I sat in the back. Now that is an experience to remember. Imagine airtime at 300 feet. I practically hung from the lapbar all the way down the first hill.

They are letting people wait for front row now. I was there last week. I and my wife had to wait another 40 minutes, but it was worth it to have front row on it (especially for our first ride on it).

The front seat was awesome - the view was breathtaking, but nothing will match the first time I rode the coaster in 2000. The single best coaster experience I ever had.

Maybe it was because I rode at night, but I didn't care too much for the front. Well, I don't care for the front on all coasters.

Anyway my favorite cars would be 5, 6, and, 7

I actually prefer the back on MF. Redman is correct. They are now letting people wait for the front AND back seat. Although the wait for the front is much longer than the back.

Only rode it once (2 hr. wait) and got the back seat, which was pretty sweet. I love getting whipped over the hills in the back.

It's weird, I'm a devoted backseat fan, but I actually preferred the front seat on Millie. I got to ride both the front and back on opening day (how is that for luck?) and the front seat was unlike any other coaster I had ridden. That was the only ride on Millie that I liked as much as our local S:ROS (which has been running like a champ this year ;)). Its funny cause it was like when you would get the float over the hills, the wind rushing at you would try and hold you up longer. My jacket was acting like a big old drag chute, and I got a nice sustained float. Not to mention that on the intamin hypers the track just seems to disappear as you crest the hills...

Last year I rode it twice in my two day visit to the point. I too was lucky enough to ride the front seat the second time. It was unreal. I found it to add 80% more intensity and excitement to the ride. Of course, going over the first drop is insane... You can't even see the bottom of the drop untill halfway down! But you really feel the scheer speed as you go through the course with that hurricane stregth wind in your face. There is no way to ride the front seat without crying (tearing;)) from the insane wind in your face, unless you wear glasses.

FCR: Glasses dont help much. I was tearing even with my sunglasses strapped to my head....

Yes, know you are allowed to wait for the front. Generally you'll end up waiting 45 minutes longer though.

Oh, I forgot about the whole tearing eyes thing. :)

The first time I rode up front, I didn't get tears in my eyes, but the second time, I did have them in the corners of my eyes.

You are allowed to wait for the front now? Well that's good news.

100 laps on MF-5 in front. Front is intense, especially going down the 1st hill. The wind is horrid since you are the "head geese" for everyone else. I always have to wear my sunglasses (afraid the wind gonna rip my contacts right off my eyeballs :))Yup you can wait for front or back this season.

I have to say, MF was one of the best coasters I have ever riden! I waited in line for it for 1:15 at night time and go on about in the middle. You first go up the lift hill and wonder when it will stop going up! Then quickly, it pulls you down the 300+ ft hill at speeds of 93mph. Then as you are going so fast, you look over at your friend sitting next to you and see that they are having fun with slobber flying out of their mouth, but you cant help it cuz the speed of this coaster is amazing. There is alot of air-time, and nice views. I even had a bug hit my lip! (it hurt to)
