Guess I'll have to go to St. Louis this year to ride it. Both Mr. Freezes are shooting backwards! How cool... ;)
Six Flags Parks: The amusement park chain with the most backwards facing coasters in the world!!!
I am sure marketing can do something with that. :P
Am I the only one that doesn't understand the push to turn every launching coaster backward?. I might be wrong here, but are the only forward launching coasters that Six Flags will have now are their Intamin Impulses and Ka? And if you think about it, the Impulses do technically launch backwards as well...

Interesting. I guess we'll finally have a definitive answer to how uncomfortable a backwards facing launch would be.
We already know that...
I feel meh about it too. Don't get me wrong, great rides, love'em. But I don't think it's that 'amazing' since it's a shuttle. I do think it'll be a great marketing point for the parks, though. The spike going face forward may be cool, but I wasn't as impressed with the spike on the Freeze coasters as much as I was on speed, which had to do with the slow push up on the freeze coasters, and the stall on speed, which I think would be better if they faced that backwards (and opened it back up...).
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
Yeah, there's definitely a bit of humor in the idea of a shuttle coaster (that already goes forward and backwards) being 'turned around' to go backwards and forward instead.
(and yes, I get the differences)
I was thinking the same thing Gonch. :)

Are these trains even designed to travel backwards? ;)
I think it will be very interesting to go up the spike backwards and then get dragged up even further by the LIM's.
