Cheerleader blessing caused Disneyland lockdown

Last weekend’s bomb scare at Disneyland that locked thousands of visitors out of the park for up to three hours was unwittingly triggered by a Rohnert Park man who had placed a scroll of paper in a tree near the ticket booths. The unidentified man went to the famed amusement park with his daughter and her Rohnert Park youth football spirit team for a national cheerleading competition there. He apparently wrote something ornately on paper, rolled it up and placed it in a tree to bless or encourage the girls.

Another reason to avoid cheerleader month a Walt Disney World. It is bad enough they can't keep those girls under control late at night. Forget getting a good night's sleep. But now the park has to go on lockdown because of them?

This whole thing is just very confusing.

1) Why would a piece of paper in a scroll cause any sort of panic whatsoever? In a tree? I still don't get it.

2) You "blessed" a cheerleading team with something written on a scroll...in a tree?

Just very. very odd. :)

Just wondering why they refer to it as a "blessing" as opposed to inspirational message or positive reinforcement. Seems like a lame attempt to connect terrorism and religion, even when neither is involved.
