Creepy abandoned park in Northern California

It's creepy, but why would someone abandon that electric chair guy? I would think those are expensive.

Abandoned amusement parks are one of the creepiest things in the world. It's creepy looking at Geauga Lake from Wildwater Kingdom and that's on the other side of the lake.

Screamscape posted a video of SFNO a few months back and what it's like today and that was really creepy too.

What always amazes me is how quickly nature eats away an abandoned amusement park. If that wiki post is accurate, this park was just abandoned in 2003.

Those remnants look like they're from 1970. It makes you realize just how much maintenance and upkeep our parks do.

They still use the site as a Halloween attraction which is probably when they got those pictures. We always joke that at every Halloween haunted house set up, the electric chair guy will show up at some point.

Old, abandoned amusement parks are definitely one of the creepiest, yet coolest things to see, especially in person.

I don't find them generally creepy. But they are some of the saddest places around.

Great photos. I also don't find abandoned parks as creepy as I find them to be sad. This park probably once had happy sounds of music and children playing. It used to help make special memories with visitors friends and family. It used to host groups of employees who were not only close to each other, but close to the park as well. Now it sits, abandoned and alone, longing for a curious someone to come by and take a few photos.

The Mad Mouse in the pictures is exactly like the one Lakemont Park used to have. It was a small ride, only about 20 or 30 feet tall, but was really fun.

Seems like Devil's Coach may have been the last wooden wild mouse standing in the US. Doubt we'll ever see another here in the States, unfortunately....

Whenever Knoebels finishing the turns, would love to see them build a wooden mouse.

It would be a great fit there.
