Dollywood suit with Huss settled, terms not disclosed

The Dollywood Company, Huss Park Attractions and Huss Parts & Service of Bremen Germany have settled all of their differences in a lawsuit filed by Dollywood over the ride called Timber Tower at Dollywood.
"We have resolved all of the issues to our mutual satisfaction," Ken Bell, President of the Dollywood Company said. "We wish Huss Park Attractions and Huss Parts & Service well in their future endeavors."
Terms of the settlement are sealed and will remain confidential.

^LOL, it is a nicer way of saying "we wouldn't get another ride from your company if you gave it to us free."

It's a shame that this flawed ride has probably ruined the chance of other Huss rides at Dollywood. Huss has manufactured some of the most superior flat rides ever made.
Most of the flat rides at Dollywood are on the cheap-looking side other than the Aviator. They did a great job theming the barnstormer, but the ride itself isn't nearly as fantastic as the HUSS versions.
It's also a shame the Timber Tower is coming out because the theming on it was great.

While I thought the idea and theme were great, I never cared for the ride. Got my one lap on it and was done. Maybe they can put in a tree themed drop tower. A nice smaller, perhaps 100' tower with leaves on the top to look like a tree would be nice :).

The Giant Frisbees are fantastic rides from a rider perspective, but they're apparently a little more tricky from the maintenance end. Granted, I haven't heard of any massive gear failures like those apparently suffered in both Ohio locations some years back.

Was that prone to problems as well? The only thing immediately obvious is that it has to be really slow to load and check restraints.

It has had quite a bit of downtime over the years. I'm not sure how it's run lately. I'm going in July and am hopeful that it will be running. I quite enjoyed it. Overall, Canada's Wonderland is one of my favorite parks for flat rides.

The 2 days we were there in '09, the Jump2 was down. Can someone in the states get a Top Scan please? Now I want to go back to CW, sigh.

loriu, you can go to Lagoon. They have one. Toronto is still closer to Aliquippa, though!

My understanding is that yes, the Jump at Canada's Wonderland is a mechanically problematic ride. To add insult to injury, I wasn't that impressed with the ride action, either. It looks pretty dramatic, but the experience is somewhat underwhelming. Kind of like a Topple Tower in that regard.

I've gotten some fairly intense rides on the Jump2. It's nothing like a S&S Shot tower, but pretty forceful and *sudden* in terms of the lifts/drops.

I quite enjoyed Sledgehammer. I found it to be quite intense. Timber Tower on the other hand I found boring and uncomfortable.
