I put together this as a tribute to the ride and the Black Sabbath song (and the movie and the physical phenomena):

Here is a construction video of the ride:

The 1978 commercial for the ride:

And another video tribute I did for Palisades Park and Blondie (the band) a while back:

It sure is. I saw that back in the 80's at an ACE 'No Coaster Con' and have searched for it ever since. The coaster gods brought it to me!
Someone told me my Shockwave Black Sabbath video was very odd and hard to follow. I can see that now. But that is kind of a good thing. It has a lot in it - and if you don't know the movie from 1977, it probably doesn't make much sense.
Watched it last night. I hope I don't hurt your feeling when I say I didn't get it. The good thing is that because it was so strange, it has stuck with me. It kind of haunts me. I will never forget it. lol

Awesome video Billy, loved it! Both the coaster and the film are faves of mine, and well there's also Black Sabbath! Nice job, also that time lapse video was very cool too.
Remember when Shockwave opened there was a still shot from that video of the two girls upside down in the loop that was in a bunch of newspapers and magazines.

My feelings are good that you think it was strange, etc.. That means I did my job :) Boring is so... boring.
edit - and don't miss the "Shock Wave Over Texas" bootleg cover at 54 seconds. I especially like that.
