The Paducah, Ky.-based Dippin' Dots filed for Chapter 11 reorganization Thursday night, asking U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Thomas H. Fulton to allow it to use cash collateral to continue operations while the case plays out. The company said in a filing that allowing it to use the cash collateral and stay functioning will not harm creditors, including its largest single creditor, Regions Bank, which is owed $11.1 million.

They aren't going out of business, they're just going to try and restructure their debt and avoid foreclosure.
I don't think I've ever paid for Dippin' Dots. I've only had the free samples at IAAPA. They're delicious, but not $6 delicious.

Dippin' Dots burn a layer off of my tongue. It is an interesting snack item, but I wouldn't go as far as calling the food "delicious". lol

We had a DD outlet outside of Cleveland that sold huge cups for the same price CP charges for a small. It was so awesome. They also sold cakes, sundae's, etc... Pricing was reasonable and worth it for the amount you got. Sadly they didn't make it in that location. They had so many flavors that you never see sold in parks, either!
The problem is they charge WAY to much at amusement parks for them. Charge less and sell more, IMO.

Agreed - although when they are selling Subway Veggie Delights for $9.99 on the Cedar point Midway - I don't see the price coming down soon. I prefer a Coldstone or a Sanders anyway.
Do they include chips with the Subway Veggie Delight? $9.99 is ridiculous.
