This isn't news, just an opinion piece, but look at how this writer goes to town on Six Flags Great Adventure...

Sounds like the same day, huh?
Or do they regularly lose power that often? Or has it been a weird year and they're unusually losing power that often?
It all feels like typical whining...just in article form.
Stuff costs money, the power went out and somehow if feels like I'm implying it's the park's fault, a long day at the park can wear on you, in the end we were smiling and having a good time, but it still sucked.
Meh, those days happen.
When the power went out I was literally next.
I smiled sweetly at the girl who now held my cup and said, “Could you just refill me? Since I don’t have to pay anyway?” And I held up my refill bracelet as Wonder Woman might. She stared straight ahead and shook her head “no,” ever so slightly.
Do soda machines require power to dispense product? I honestly don't recall if power is required for cooling only, or for cooling and dispensing.

I too wondered how a power outage would cause Batman to stick upside-down. Or is she not aware that you sit below the track on that one?
Yeah, that was my first thought. she didn't see the train on the upper side of the track, so she Ass-u-me(d) it must be upside down.
And...El Toro is a "family" coaster now?
Like Joe Jackson sang in "Sunday Papers"..."they couldn't print it if it wasn't true..."
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

I remember them stating something along the lines of power issues as part of the reason for the loss of the Chiller. I also seem to recall hearing that the park had either a woefully outdated or underpowered power supply, although I can't remember if that was from a factual article or "inside info." I do know, however, that power issues have been consistently mentioned regarding that park for quite a while now.

I've never heard of power problems at that park.
This article actually re-emphasizes for me why working in the service sector just plain sucks. I'm not sure how many of you have had the honor and pleasure of working in a customer-first, service oriented job, but I did my time while working my way through college, and this lady is what makes your job hell some days.
Honestly, she is also the exact customer at amusement parks that should just not bother coming. If you are not adult enough to understand that things can happen, you can be inconvenienced at a moment's notice if a ride breaks down, and things just might not go your way, then don't come.
High on emotional reactivity, low on intelligence.
